Kids love having a room that is decorated just for them. They get to help create it and help to make it their own. This is where themes are perfect. They get to pick something that they love and really get to design it themselves. Let's look at some great themes for kid's rooms.

Kids wallpaper border are adventurous by nature. If your child is really active and loves animals, do a jungle or safari theme. They will love the fact that they room is now a jungle and adventure zone. Paint the walls a jungle green color and paint some trees. Use lots of different colors and paint a mural around the room of jungle animals. You can also buy wallpaper that is a jungle theme. Make the décor jungle too. Have a jungle bedspread, headboard, and artwork. They will look great.

Anything that soars or is big and moves is great for boys. They love airplanes, trucks, and boats. Create a room around one of those. Use creative artwork and furniture to have fun. You can even build a cockpit for your child. Just use some wood and build a little box for him. He will love it. Use his favorite colors or colors that are related to the type of machine that he loves.

Creating a theme around a color is something that will last forever. Kids usually pick a favorite color pretty early and love it for a long time. If you are thinking about creating a room that will last for a long time, this is a great option. Use many different shades of one color to pull the room together. You can do a border around the room either on the bottom, the middle, or on the top of the room. If your child loves more than one color, use a couple different colors. You can also create something that looks like a canopy or a tent inside the room. You can hang it over the bed. Use only colors that are earth tones or that remind you of mountains. Buy or make artwork that is calming and again reminds you of being outside.

Themes are important for kid's rooms. They help to bring together the room and really make the room your child's. They love having their own sanctuary and love feeling that the rooms is all theirs and that they helped to create it. When you are designing the room, have your child help as much as possible. They will love being a designer in their own room and it will give you a great memory.
